We Deserve Better

We Deserve Better was founded by Greg Orman, a small business owner from Kansas City.

 

In 2014, Greg ran for the United States Senate in Kansas as an independent. For the last two months of the campaign, Greg was consistently beating a three-term senator who had been in Washington longer than Greg had been alive. After what the Washington Post described as an unprecedented rescue effort by Washington DC insiders, super PACs, and lobbyists, Kansans re-elected the incumbent. During that time, Greg was not only exposed to the corrupting influences of Washington DC, but also the real problems that so many Kansans were facing. Greg has written numerous articles for Real Clear Politics, The Wall Street Journal, The Hill, and the Kansas City Star about how rigged politics are leading to rigged policies that leave the American people behind.

 

We Deserve Better is an effort to bring like-minded Americans together who agree that Washington DC is a rigged game that only benefits those people who can buy access to power. Our goal is to gather enough Americans to actually start the difficult process of remaking our government so that it serves the American people and not party bosses, special interests, and the economic elite.
